Russia-backed militants fired Grad missiles on the town of Avdeyevka/Avdiivka, Unian.net reported, citing the Anti-Terrorist Operation [ATO].
A military source said there were 62 Grads fired, three times with 15-17 rockets per round.
Smoke and fragments of the rockets could be seen on videos taken by the Ukrainian military.
Militants fired heavy artillery at a medical station near Meski in violation of international humanitarian law, the ATO reported in a dispatch.
No people were hurt but a vehicle was totally destroyed. Medics were able to put out a fire that started.
In its dispatch at 18:00, the ATO said in other areas there were less attacks.
Militants pounded Ukrainian positions at Krymskoye on the Luganskoye line with 82-mm mortars. An armed BMP was used to attack Luganskoye. Grenade-launchers were fired at ATO forces near Mayskoye.
On the Maritime line, militants fired heavy machine guns on Vodyanoye.
