1 Ukrainian Soldier KIA, 6 WIA in 2 Days; Russia-Backed Fighters Fire on Avdeyevka from a Tank

Russia-backed fighters made 22 attacks on Ukrainian positions today, 3 Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in battle, Liga.net reported, citing the Anti-Terrorist Operation [ATO] evening dispatch.
In the previous reporting period, one Ukrainian soldier was killed and 3 wounded, the ATO reported in its morning dispatch, bringing the total to 6 wounded in action.
On the Maritime line, militants fired 120-mm mortars near Granitnoye and Chermalyk; near Pavlopol. Slavnoye and Gnutovo, Ukrainian positions were struck with grenade-launchers and small arms.
On the Donetsk line, 152-mm artillery was fired on Ukrainian positions in Avdeyevka and Kalinovo; militants fired more than 20 shots from a tank on Avdeyevka.
In the area of Verkhnyetoretskoy, ATO forces were attacked with heavy machine guns and grenade-launchers; near Zaytsevo, from an armed BMP. Near Kamenka, an anti-tank missile complex was used as well as small arms.
On the Lugansk line, Stanitsa Luganskaya, Novaleksandrovka and Katerinovka were hit; Krymskoye and Katerinovka came under fire from 120-mm mortars, grenade-launchers and heavy machine guns.
The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission investigated reports of civilian casualties and found the morgue logbook in Sukhaya Balka showed that a man, 52, had died of serious shrapnel wounds, as reported and his house had been damaged. The team also spoke to a man and woman injured when their car ran over a mine on June 12.
Since the start of the year, 47 civilians have been killed, the OSCE SMM reported. In most cases, they were killed by shelling of their homes.
The UN reported that from March to May 14, 35 civilians had been killed and 143 wounded.
