
A home damaged by Russia-backed forces in Novotroitskoye.
Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded overnight and Russia-backed forces attacked Ukrainian positions 28 times, Liga.net reported, citing the ATO [Anti-Terrorist Operation] morning dispatch.
In its evening dispatch, the ATO noted the use of 82-mm and 120-mm mortars outside Novotroitskoye as well as an armed BMP, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. Several shells landed in populated areas although there were no civilian casualties.
The ATO also reported an incident where intoxicated soldiers refused to obey orders of an officer, and ultimately, fearing for his safety, the officer fired warning shots in the air, then the ground, then shot one rebellious soldiers in his legs. He was taken to the hospital in Bakhmut with gunshot wounds and also found to have a blood alcohol concentration of 1.29.
